Blandford Georgian Fayre

Held on the first Monday in May, the Blandford Georgian Fayre celebrates the resurrection of the town from a calamitous fire in 1731. The town centre is closed to traffic; fairground rides and stalls are shoe-horned into the narrow streets, farmers market, entertainers and traditional Dorset rural craft stalls line every pavement. Even the weather at this changeable time of year joins in on this occassion to make it a good natured and enjoyable day.
